Plough & Stars Project

Agriculture, Art and Kinship

Through farming we provide food that nourishes - body, soul and system - and affirm our belief in agriculture’s unique role at the center of Earth-care and people-care.

Through writing and photography we gesture at the bigger sense of that which feeds us. These are stories of seeking and moments of encounter. Gifts of the mystery that spans the space between plough and stars.

Through community building, the Plough & Stars Project celebrates kinship and strives to create an inspiring space for all to stand in the vastness together.

“Agriculture must mediate between nature and the human community, with ties in both directions. To farm well requires an elaborate courtesy toward all creatures, animate and inanimate. It is sympathy that most appropriately enlarges the context of human work.”
— Wendell Berry
